Like many organisations we spend a lot of time trying to raise money and that sometimes distracts us from the real work we need to do.
Funding organisations tend to support things like ‘projects’ or ‘events’. They aren’t so keen on helping with the rent, photocopier, power bill, coffee, cleaning, white boards, pens, paperclips, computers etc that all help keep the organisation running. Many people, giving us even as little as $10 per month, will make a significant collective difference to the community.

Payroll Giving – the easiest way to donate
A great way to donate to OUTLineNZ is through your PAYE tax. The government introduced a new scheme which took affect in January, 2010 “allowing employers to deduct donations from an employee’s pay which is then paid directly to their chosen charity. Under the payroll giving scheme individuals can claim one-third of every dollar they donate – businesses can claim 100% – up to the value of their total income, previously the total was just $630″ (Dominion Post, July 3, 2010). This is obviously a fantastic way to give to your favourite charity and we at OUTLineNZ would welcome any donations regardless of their size.
